Mandy also has certifications as a Fear Free Trainer (CFFT), Certified Trick Dog Instructor (CTDI) and Certified Canine Fitness Coach (CCFC). To meet her goal of treating the whole dog, she also has a Masters Class Certification in Canine Nutrition. She also enjoys teaching others about dog behavior and training and is a Mentor with CATCH Canine Trainers Academy.
While fostering dogs for a local rescue, Mandy was shocked to learn how many dogs were returned. Most are due to behavior issues that are easily trainable such as urinating inside, jumping on people or whining. Approximately 1.3 million dogs are surrendered to shelters by their owners yearly. Unable to care for these animals, shelters euthanize those deemed not adoptable.
Unfortunately, most owners do not have the time or knowledge to train their dogs. This is how Paws for Life was born. Our goal is to keep as many dogs as possible out of shelters and in knowledgeable and loving homes. We want to help dogs become the best they can be to benefit the lives of both dog and family.
